The presentation was made to company executives at today's San Jose City Council meeting. With a 65,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in San Jose’s Enterprise Zone, Airtronics is a full-service precision electronic sheet metal design, engineering and manufacturing company. The commendation recognizes Airtronics for significant and continued contributions to the region’s economic vitality through its participation in the Enterprise Zone Hiring Credit program. The company has nearly 100 employees, all of whom receive quality medical benefits. The company was also cited for its focus on continuous improvement and exceptional quality; and its investment in the education of tomorrow’s mechanical engineers through its outreach program with San Jose State University. The commendation presented by the Mayor and City Council is a part of San Jose's Business Appreciation Initiative, a key component of the San Jose Redevelopment Agency’s Strategy. This business retention initiative recognizes San Jose companies that actively support the city's efforts to maintain a strong, vital city for the 21st century.
