DRB Wins Three Medals at National MarCom Awards Competition

San Jose, CA (November 6, 2007) – At the recent MarCom Awards, sponsored by The Association of Marketing & Communications Professionals (AMCP), DRB Partners was honored for excellence in creative work for  three clients. Clients were Linear Technology, a leader in analog semiconductors; Posiflex, a national provider of Point of Service (POS) terminals; and Amulet Technologies which designs and sells Graphical User Interface semiconductors and software. The medals included:
  • Platinum for the design of a magazine cover for Praxis Magazine on behalf of Linear Technology. This is the highest award given and goes only to entries judged to be among the most outstanding in the overall competition. Only 18% of the 5,000 entries won Platinum.
  • Gold for concept and execution of the KS POS Terminal Campaign (“Cool is the new Black”) for Posiflex Business Machines. This is the second highest award and the Posiflex ad was judged to be among the most outstanding entries in the category (Ads/Advertising). As with the Platinum awards, only 18% of the of the 5,000 entries won Gold.
  • Bronze Honorable Mention for an Appliance Magazine cover design created for Amulet Technologies. Only 10% of the entries received Honorable Mention.

AMCP is an international organization with several thousand creative professionals as members and the MarCom Awards program has become one of the largest creative competitions in the world. There were more than 5,000 entries across categories and winners ranged in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 50 companies.
